Our humble beginnings
- The inspiration
- Joseph Carr and his wife refinanced their home to fund their dream of building an approachable, high-value wine brand.
- The name
- Carr’s mother suggested honoring his father by using his old nickname, “Josh,” writing it out in the signature calligraphy seen on the labels today.
- Early days
- Carr initially crafted the wine at partner wineries, selling his first cases directly out of the back of his truck.
